Who is Garnet? Hi! My name is Garnet and though I’ve only been practicing Wicca for 3 years, I’ve amassed so much info in my BOS that I feel using a blog is the best way to organize my info and thoughts. I’m a young Wiccan living in Texas who would love to build her spirituality with others. Though I was raised Catholic, I would feel the pull of magic and witches at different times growing up. On a trip to Colorado when I was little, my mom took me to a shop that was ran by witches! She said there where a lot of witches in the area. In the store full of incense and candles, I thought the witches were kind and normal people. Years later in high school, a Wiccan friend let me borrow Scott Cunningham’s “Wicca for the Solitary Practitioner” and I began work on my first Book of Shadows, but I soon let my interest go due to the living constraints of my mother’s house. A few years later my boyfriend (who was a Buddhist at the time) found Wicca through a group of friends who were Wiccan. Through his interest I once again began to learn more about Wicca. The rest is history!
Feel free to comment, ask questions, suggest additions – I want to reach out to other Wiccans like myself, so I welcome your communication! Blessed Be.
Don’t forget to check out my new companion blog on Tarot: garnettarotjournal.wordpress.com !
The Purpose of this Blog: I started this blog to help organize all of the witchy tidbits I’ve picked up so they can be shared with others.I want to share aspects of my Path in the hope that it will inspire & that others will in turn share some of their wisdom from their Paths with me. Hopefully the ideas you find here will inspire you and lead you to try something new or read a new author. Commenting is encouraged!

Thank you Garnet for this site. were trying a pet retrival spell along with a few others of our own to make it so….so mote it be!
although im now in new jersey (paterson to be exact) i spent about 15 years in Houston where i met hundreds of good wiccans between Houston and dallas. a gathering of the clans occurs outside of austin. and of course there’s the heartland pagan festival up in kansas.
ive had a few altercations with them so i really can’t say i care for them you might like to contact the covanent of the goddess out of salem mass. started by Lorrie Cabot it’s been kept up buy her daughter.
BTW love your art work!

Garnet,
Excellent blog! I’m new to Paganism (and like you, from a Catholic background). At this point I see myself as exploring different paths within Paganism, including Wicca, although I’m not sure that’s where I’ll end up. This blog is extremely informative, but in addition I can see your passion for this path. I’m sure to become a frequent visitor, and I’ll be sure to add you to my blogroll.
Blessings,
Sabrina

Hi Garnet,
nice blog you have here. My friend and I are going to have a Yule this December, and i was thinking if you can give us some info or some suggestions for a good Sabbat. She is new in this and me … well….. I’m a wizard… a very old creature re-incarnated. And I just wanted to help her…. if you can give me some help.. that will be nice.
Unity! Blessed Be
