Purpose: promote courage, protection and good luck
Materials: 1 bay leaf, felt tipped pen, fire-proof container (cauldron, bowl, fireplace), lighter/matches
Write a word or two that describes your goal on the bay leaf, then burn the leaf:
“I write my wishes on a bay leaf so green, send courage and protection quickly to me.
As the leaf burns away, this spell is begun by the powers of fire and the bright sun.”
When the ashes cool, go outside and let the wind take them.

I tried this just this morning and began to fill some positive vibes and a sense of renewal. I was about to run some errands and decided to check the mailbox before leaving. To my surprise, there were 2 unexpected checks in the mailbox. I was floored. Thank you so much!
