Though I’ve only recently began my current job that I am very grateful for, I’m already looking to make a dramatic change in my work that would not only lead me into a career (vs. a job), but also into a field that will make me personally and spiritually happy beyond having a better income. However this switch will require me to return to school, so this career change requires a large initial investment.
Here’s a spread to learn more about your current career or one you’re thinking of pursuing. This spread comes from Sylvia Abraham’s “How To Use Tarot Spreads“.

- Is the career I have chosen what I really want?
- What steps can I take to improve my career?
- Are there aspects to my career I cannot change?
- Am I doing my best in my career?
- What changes can I make personally that will help my career?
- What blocks in my past are affecting my career now?
- Outcome?
Since my question regards a potential future career, I’ve slightly altered the questions:
- Is this career what I really want?
- What steps can I take to begin this career?
- Are there aspects of this career I cannot change?
- How can I do my best to achieve my goals for this career?
- What changes can I make personally that will help me progress successfully into this career?
- What blocks in my past are affecting me from switching careers?
- Outcome?

I am also looking into a potential career change and found this particular spread to be most insightful into the possibilities, outcomes and obstacles surrounding my considered choice in future career. My experience with Tarot is generally nothing more than a three-card spread on most occasions but I shall be integrating this spread into my repetoire from now on.

I’m glad you found it useful, Kenn. I to often stick to one spread, so branching out and trying new ones has been very refreshing. Best of luck!
