Simple Spell to Remove Obstacles

Came up with this simple spell on the fly because I’ve been worried about not getting a job I’ve applied for – I’ve interviewed and had my references checked and now it’s just a waiting game… I figure, what’s the point in worrying? Here’s my spell to remove the obstacles that may be hindering your goals.

Materials: small black candle, pen & paper, nail/something to carve candle with, a cauldron/heat-proof bowl, a large candle to represent the Goddess (or whatever deity you choose)

1. carve keywords such as “obstacles,” “worry,” “doubt,” and “fear” onto the black candle.
2. write your concerns on the small piece of paper.
3. pour your negative emotions into this paper and candle.
4. light the candle and set the paper on fire to be burned to ashes. watch your obstacles being removed as the candle and paper shrink and burn to nothing. visualize your path clearing.
5. light your Goddess candle and remember that Her light is greater than any doubt or fear. (this is more powerful visually if your Goddess candle is larger than your little black candle)
6. consider doing a divination, such as a three-card Tarot spread: I did this and my first card represented my current situation/thoughts, the second: what I must do to help myself, the third: outcome
